LPG (LP Gas) vs Electric Heating
Strengths of LPG
LOWER UNIT COST – LPG has a lower unit cost than electricity.
CO2 EMISSION CONTROL
With LPG you know what your CO2 emissions are and can control them. With electricity from a mains supply you generally have no idea how the electricity was generated and therefore how big your carbon footprint is.
vs. RADIANT HEATERS
Radiant heaters can ignite nearby furnishings or objects due to the intensity of their output and lack of overheat protection.
vs. FAN HEATERS
Fan heaters are generally quite noisy.
vs. STORAGE HEATING
Storage heaters release their heat at a predefined rate, so if you set a heater to release its heat too fast you can ‘run out’ of heat before the end of the day.
vs. ELECTRICAL UNDERFLOOR HEATING
Requires the entire floor to be lifted and can create maintenance issues if there are future faults.
Strengths of Electric Heating
No storage tank required.
Not tied to an LPG supplier
Electric underfloor heating can free up walls, ceilings etc compared to some LPG alternatives (i.e. radiators or space heaters), but ‘wet’ under floor heating is also available as an LPG option.

I have been renewing my gas contracts through lpg-save for 6 years now, and I am absolutely delighted with their service. If you telephone, it's answered at once by an actual person who knows what they're talking about, with no endless waits, labyrinthine options, or messages telling you how much your custom is valued. If you email, you receive a very swift reply. Either way, I have always unfailingly had professional, knowledgeable, helpful, pleasant and efficient service. Best of all of course is that I have saved considerable amounts of money, without the headache of bargaining endlessly with assorted gas companies. Definitely and unhesitatingly recommend this company.

Excellent service! Rapid and clear and were able to get me ten pence off(almost 20%!) per litre of lpg fixed for two years versus my existing provider’s initial year offer for a two year contract with the second year floating! Later turned out to be the same provideri have re contracted with so happy days and two fingers up to those robbers!

This is the second time I have used LPG save and as I always review the market I am comfortable at having got a good deal. It’s certainly a strange business whereby new customers win out over customer loyalty and often forces a change of supplier every 2 years. Makes no sense to me but thanks to LPG save for sorting me a deal with Flogas again.

Absolutely seamless process. They even coped when the process was slightly interrupted by me braking my ankle:) Price was better than I could have found as an individual, staff, especially a shout out to Robert, were polite, courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend them if you decide to switch suppliers.
